Grade I winner Will's Way, who has resided since December 2007 as a pensioner at Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Facility near Georgetown, Ky., has been relocated to Old Friends at Cabin Creek: The Bobby Frankel Division, which is located near Greenfield Center, N.Y.

Seventeen-year-old Will’s Way (Easy Goer--Willamae, by Tentam) won the Travers Stakes (gr. I) and Whitney Handicap (gr. I), both at Saratoga.

The first Old Friends auxiliary farm, Old Friends at Cabin Creek is within driving distance of Saratoga, and is owned by Joann and Mark Pepper. It is home to nine retired Thoroughbreds, including grade I winner Thunder Rumble and fan favorite Zippy Chippy.

“Ever since we opened Old Friends at Cabin Creek, there was a groundswell of support, spearheaded by his trainer H. James Bond, to return Will’s Way to New York,” said Old Friends founder and president Michael Blowen. “He will really be missed here in Kentucky but he’ll be a superstar in New York. And he’ll get the best of care from the Peppers and Jim Bond.”

Will’s Way arrived in New York June 25.
