The Race Track Chaplaincy of America is now seeking nominations for the 2010 White Horse Award. Presented at its annual luncheon in conjunction with the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, the award recognizes a member of the racing industry who performs a heroic deed on behalf of horse or human.
The winner is elected by major supporters of the White Horse Fellowship and others associated with racing.
A community service award also will be presented to a supporter of local ministries, and a tribute to excellence award will be presented to someone in the racing industry.
The luncheon will be held Nov. 4 from 10:30 to 12:30 in the Triple Crown Room of Churchill Downs’ Jockey Club Suites, with complimentary parking in the west lot. Special guests will include Hall of Fame jockey Pat Day and other racing celebrities.
The award recipient will be hosted by RTCA at the 2010 Breeders’ Cup, all expenses paid.
