Aragorn's First Winner Scores in France

Irish-bred Aragorn, a two-time grade I turf winner, was represented by his first winner when his son Araneide won June 20 in Durtal in France. Campaigned by M. Parrish, the colt won the 5 1/2-furlong race by 1 1/2 lengths.

Business  & Promotion Trading S.A. is the breeder of Kentucky-bred Araneide, who is the first foal from English stakes-placed Carini (by Vettori).

Aragorn (Giant's Causeway  —Onaga, by Mr. Prospector) scored grade I turf wins in the 2006 Eddie Read Handicap and the Shoemaker Breeders’ Cup Mile Stakes. He stands for $7,500 at William S. Farish’s Lane’s End Farm near Versailles, Ky.
