Cal Stallion Lucky Pulpit Gets First Winner

Stakes winner Lucky Pulpit   sired his first winner when his son Luckarack won at Golden Gate Fields June 10 (VIDEO). The triumph in the 4 1/2-furlong race came by a half-length in :53.50 for his breeders, Mr. and Mrs. Larry D. Williams, who also own Lucky Pulpit.

A California-bred, Luckarack is the second winner from two named foals out of the graded stakes-placed Dehere mare Tamarack Bay.

Lucky Pulpit (Pulpit  —Lucky Soph, by Cozzene) stands at John C. Harris’ Harris Farms near Coalinga, Calif. His fee is $2,500.
