Miss Layla Is Forest Grove's First Winner

Graded stakes winner Forest Grove was represented by his first winner when his daughter Miss Layla won at Woodbine June 11 in her initial race. Miss Layla captured the 4 1/2-furlong race by three-quarters of a length in :52.97 (VIDEO).

James and Janeane Everatt and J. Arika Everatt-Meeuse are the breeders of Ontario-bred Miss Layla, who is the eighth winner from the Alysheba mare Chic Sheba.

Forest Grove (Forestry  —Charm a Gendarme, by Batonnier) stands at Canmor Farms near Aldergrove, British Columbia, Canada. His fee is $4,000 (Canadian funds).
