Graded Stakes winner With Distinction sired his first United States winner when Orakpo broke his maiden on his second try in the fifth race at Colonial Downs June 7.

Sent off at 9-5 the Tim Salzman-trained juvenile colt captured the five-furlong dirt contest in :59.30 for owner Kenneth Taylor. Bred in Florida by Richard Wilson, Orakpo is the sixth winner out of the winning Copelan mare Future Question.

With Distinction’s first winner came through when his daughter The Henry’s Cat won March 5 at Hipodromo de las Americas in Mexico in her initial start.

With Distinction (Storm Cat—Extravagant Woman, by Alydar) stands for $7,500 at Randy Hartley and Dean De Renzo’s Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds near Ocala, Fla.
