Grade II winner Badge of Silver   came through with his first winner in the United States after being represented one winner in Mexico. Silver City Kitty, a filly, won by 5 1/2 lengths at 4 1/2 furlongs in :53.61 at Mountaineer Park for owner/trainer Don Mills.

Wayne G. Lyster III is the breeder of Kentucky-bred Silver City Kitty, who is the fourth winner from four foals of racing age from the Carson City mare Leeward City.

Badge of Silver’s first winner, Querubin, has twice won in Mexico.

Badge of Silver (Silver Deputy--Silveroo, by Silver Hawk) stands for $10,000 at Brereton C. Jones’ Airdrie Stud near Midway, Ky.
