Grade II winner Badge of Silver came through with his first winner in the United States after being represented one winner in Mexico. Silver City Kitty, a filly, won by 5 1/2 lengths at 4 1/2 furlongs in :53.61 at Mountaineer Park for owner/trainer Don Mills.
Wayne G. Lyster III is the breeder of Kentucky-bred Silver City Kitty, who is the fourth winner from four foals of racing age from the Carson City mare Leeward City.
