Pomeroy  , a two-time grade I winner at Saratoga, was represented by his first winner when his daughter Pomeroy Girl won June 5 at Canterbury Park in her initial start. The filly ran the 3 1/2 furlongs in :40.68 and scored by a half-length for owners Al and Bill Ulwelling.

Billy Hickman is the breeder of Florida-bred Pomeroy Girl, who is the second winner from two foals of racing age from the winning Tactical Advantage mare Tactical Plus.

A day after Pomeroy Girl’s victory, another Pomeroy offspring, the filly Golden Springs, won at Lone Star Park. Campaigned by Tom Simon’s Vinery Stables, Golden Springs won the five-furlong race by three-quarters of a length in 1:01.16.

Big C Farm and Dr. Tom Brokken are the breeders of Florida-bred Golden Springs, who is the third winner out of the winning Wild Again mare Misty Springs.

Pomeroy (Boundary--Questress, by Seeking the Gold) stands for $5,000 at Vinery near Summerfield, Fla.
