A day after Pomeroy Girl’s victory, another Pomeroy offspring, the filly Golden Springs, won at Lone Star Park. Campaigned by Tom Simon’s Vinery Stables, Golden Springs won the five-furlong race by three-quarters of a length in 1:01.16.
Big C Farm and Dr. Tom Brokken are the breeders of Florida-bred Golden Springs, who is the third winner out of the winning Wild Again mare Misty Springs.
