Old Forester Sires Initial Winner

Graded stakes winner Old Forester was represented by his first winner when his daughter Golden Gildawon at Woodbine May 30. The 2-year-old filly captured the 4 1/2-furong race by two lengths in :53.31 for owners Russell Tanz and Barb A. Pirie, the trainer.

Brian Wallace is the breeder of Ontario-bred Golden Gilda, who is the fourth winner from four starters out of the winning Prosperous mare Bebopper.

A graded winner at Meadowlands, Old Forester (Forestry--Halo River, by Irish River) stands for $5,000 (Canadian funds) at T.C. Westmeath Stud Farm near Shelburne, Ontario.
