Two to Waltz, dam of millionaire and graded stakes winner Two Step Salsa  , was euthanized May 29 after a sudden illness. The 14-year-old Seattle Slew mare was owned by Emile Barras Farms Stable (in Louisiana) and Hall of Fame jockey Eddie Delahoussaye and was boarded at Jeffry Morris’ Highclere near Lexington. She was booked to Roman Ruler  .

Two Step Salsa, by Petionville  , won the Etistalat Godolphin Mile (UAE-II), plus the Lazaro Barrera Memorial Stakes  (gr. III) and the Affirmed Handicap (gr. III). His three stakes placings include a third-place effort in the 2008 Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile.

Two to Waltz also was the dam of two other winners. She produced a Brahms   colt this year.

John and Betty Mabee were the breeders of Kentucky-bred Two to Waltz, who was produced from the Storm Bird mare Lady for Two.
