Ivan Denisovich, an English group II winner and a grade I stakes performer in the United States, was represented by his initial winner when his son Premier Clarets won May 20 at Haydock in England. The colt won the six-furlong race by two lengths.

Killarkin Stud is the breeder of Irish-bred Premier Clarets, who is out of the Green Desert mare Blueberry Walk.

Ivan Denisovich (Danehill—Hollywood Wildcat, by Kris S.) placed in the 2006 Hollywood Derby (gr. IT) and Secretariat Stakes (gr. IT). In his first trip to the U.S., he ran unplaced in the 2005 Bessemer Trust Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (gr. I). He stands for 3,000 euros at John Magnier and partners’ Coolmore Stud in Ireland.
