Mass Media's First Winner Scores at Calder

The first two starters by grade I winner Mass Media   raced against each other in a 4 1/2-furlong maiden special weight race for 2-year-old fillies at Calder Race Course May 15 and finished first and second. Miss Sarah Brown defeated Luna Grande by 1 1/4 lengths in :53.67.

John Elder is the breeder of Florida-bred Miss Sarah Brown, who races for Elder Breds and Martha Fisher. Miss Sarah Brown is out of the winning Regal Search mare Peregrine Dove and is a half-sister to four winners, two of which are $100,000-plus earners.

Winner of the 2005 Forego Stakes (gr. I) at Saratoga, Mass Media (Touch Gold  —Sultry Allure, by Forty Niner) stands for $2,000 at Brent Fernung’s Journeyman Stud near Ocala, Fla.
