Mission Impazible  , ninth in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), will not run in the May 15 Preakness Stakes (gr. I).

Randy Gullatt, farm manager and a partner in the Twin Creeks Racing Stable, which campaigns the Louisiana Derby (gr. II) winner, on May 10 confirmed the decision to skip the second jewel of the Triple Crown.

Mission Impazible would have qualified for the Preakness field based on his graded stakes earnings, but the son of Unbridled’s Song will not run back just two weeks after the Derby.

Like Derby victor Super Saver  , Mission Impazible is conditioned by Todd Pletcher.

Other principals in Twin Creeks, whose farm is located outside Lexington in Nonesuch, Ky., include Steve Davison and Tom Clark.
