Uptowncharlybrown  , a stakes-winning 3-year-old son of Limehouse  , has been moved to the stable of trainer Kiaran McLaughlin and will be pointed for the June 5 Belmont Stakes (gr. I), the Daily Racing Form reported May 6. The colt finished third in the Lexington Stakes (gr. II) at Keeneland in his most recent outing.

The late Alan Seewald, who died April 12, trained Uptowncharlybrown. When the colt ran in the Lexington, Seewald’s assistant, Linda White saddled the runner.

Bob Hutt, the managing partner of Fantasy Lane Stable, which owns Uptowncharlybrown, originally had planned to hire Tim Ice to train the Fantasy Lane runners. But Hutt told the Form "a lack of communication" between him and Ice ended the relationship before it started. The rest of the Fantasy Lane horses will remain with White.

McLaughlin told the Form Rajiv Maragh would ride Uptowncharlybrown in the Belmont. McLauglin tried to buy the colt earlier this year after he won the Pasco Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs, but Fantasy Lane didn't want to sell Uptowncharlybrown, according to the Form.
