Silver Music Dies at 19

Silver Music, a graded stakes winning son of Silver Ghost, died May 1 while covering a mare at Sarah Warmack’s Hilltop Farm near Gordonsville, Va.

The 19-year-old stallion stood in New York before relocating to Hilltop.

The sire of several stakes-placed winners, Silver Music was bred in Virginia by Edward Evans. He is out of the Stop the Music mare Music Bell.

Trained by Wally Dollase for Lauren Cohen, Silver Music won five of 19 starts and earned $351,905. He won three stakes in 1994 including the grade II Swaps Stakes at Hollywood Park.
