Barretts May Sale Has 154 Juveniles

Barretts has cataloged 154 horses for its May sale of 2-year-olds in training in Southern California. The total for the auction, which is scheduled for May 10 at Fairplex Park, is down 38.4% from a year ago, when there were 250 juveniles in the book.

Among the juveniles scheduled to be offered this year are a Whywhywhy half sister to Fair Grounds Oaks (gr. II) winner Quiet Temper (by Quiet American  ), who is being pointed for the April 30 Kentucky Oaks (gr. I); a Benchmark   full sister to grade I winner Brother Derek   named Sister Kate; and a Maria's Mon half-brother to grade I winner Siren Lure (by Joyeux Danseur). Also in the catalog are 2-year-olds sired by Giant's Causeway  , Mr. Greeley, Pulpit  , Tapit  , and Unbridled's Song  .

The under tack show for the auction will be held May 7, beginning at 10 a.m. (PDT) The sale will start at 2 p.m. May 10.
