Steady rainfall in Louisville early Saturday, April 24, did not deter trainers of horses being pointed toward the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) from going through with their scheduled workouts.

Included in the works were five of the seven possible Derby starters from the barn of Todd Pletcher. Two of Pletcher’s horsesRule and Mission Impazible  worked in company. Pletcher's two other Derby horsesEskendereya   and Interactif—are scheduled to work Sunday, April 25.

The track was labeled sloppy for the works, all of which came after the morning track maintenance break during the time set aside for Derby and Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) horses to work.

Here are the workout times, with fractional splits, from Churchill Downs communications department tweets. Links to articles about the workouts will appear once the stories are available.
