When the Del Mar meet ends Sept. 5, jockeys Gary Stevens and Victor Espinoza will relocate to the East Coast, at least for the first part of the Belmont Park meet.

"We'll play it day by day," said agent Tony Matos, who represents both riders. "We'll be riding our top Breeders' Cup prospects wherever they are." Belmont Park hosts the Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships on Oct. 27.

Matos said the pair could return to Southern California for the Oak Tree at Santa Anita meet.

Stevens is at the top of his game since returning to competition after undergoing knee surgery. Included among his victories this year have been last weekend's Travers Stakes with Point Given, the colt he rode to victory in the Preakness and Belmont Stakes earlier this year.

Espinoza is the reigning jockey champ at Del Mar and with seven racing days remaining in the current meet he is third in the standings, behind Alex Solis and Laffit Pincay Jr.
