Headed by last year’s champion She Be Wild, a field of seven 3-year-old fillies are on the probable list for the Central Bank Ashland Stakes (gr. I) at Keeneland on Saturday, April 3.
In addition to She Be Wild, who won an Eclipse Award after capturing the Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I), the 1 1/16- mile Ashland is also expected to draw Sovereign Stables Negligee, winner of Keeneland’s Darley Alcibiades (gr. I) last fall. She Be Wild, who races for Nancy Mazzoni, finished second in the Alcibiades before taking the Juvenile Fillies for trainer Wayne Catalano.
According to Keeneland racing secretary Ben Huffman, other probable Ashland starters are Peter Callahan’s Beautician, Jack Swain III’s Apple Charlotte, the Braly Family Trust’s Evening Jewel, Alex Campbell Jr.’s It's Tea Time, and Upperline, owned by Stone Farm, John Adger, Oak Crest Farm, and Michael Stidham. A possible Ashland starter is Westrock Stables’ Decelerator.
