Noble Exchange, a colt by Exchange Rate, worked a quarter mile in :21, recording the fastest time for the distance March 14 during the second and final session of the under tack show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. March select sale of 2-year-olds in training. The clocking improved on the fastest quarter-mile time of :21 1/5 posted by Atlantic Bull (by Stormy Atlantic) during the under tack show’s first session March 13 in Central Florida.

Consigned by Eisaman Equine, agent, Noble Exchange is a half brother to the winner Winsome Charm (by Silver Charm), who finished second in the 2008 Sunshine Millions Dash Stakes at Santa Anita Park. Their dam, the 10-year-old Tabasco Cat mare Social Scene, failed to win or place in two starts, but she is a half sister to Japanese stakes winner Washington Color (by Black Tie Affair) and English added-money winner Kew Green (by Brocco).

Eisaman Equine purchased Noble Exchange for $87,000 at the 2009 OBS winter mixed sale from Janie Roper, agent.

The quickest workers at an eighth of a mile were a Badge of Silver – Silver Bride filly, consigned by Leprechaun Racing, agent, and a Henny Hughes—Tacticmove colt, consigned by James Layden, agent. Both 2-year-olds covered the distance in :10, which improved on the fastest eighth-mile time of :10 1/5, which was posted by five juveniles during the under tack show’s first session.

The OBS sale will begin March 16 at 2 p.m. (EDT). The second and final session is scheduled for March 17, starting at 11 a.m.
