Gulfstream Cancels After Fourth Race

Racing at Gulfstream Park March 12 was canceled following the fourth race due to weather.

Jockeys expressed concerns to track management following several hours of heavy rain. After conferring with the riders and delaying the start of the fifth race, management called off the remainder of the 10-race program. 
All win, place, show and multi-race wagers originating on the fifth race were refunded. Wagers on the daily double and pick three involving the fifth race resulted in consolation payoffs. 
Racing resumes at Gulfstream March 13 with an 11-race program highlighted by the $300,000 Gulfstream Park Handicap (gr. II). Post time for the first race is 1:15 p.m. EST.
