David P. Holloway Racing Stable Inc's Bet On Sunshine returns to Arlington Park Saturday in search of his third consecutive victory in the $100,000 Arlington Sprint. The gelded son of Bet Big began his Arlington Sprint streak when he dead-heated for the score with Hunk of Class in the 1997 renewal of the race. The streak continued last year when Arlington re-opened after a two-year absence and Bet On Sunshine was a 1 1/4 victor as the 1-2 choice of the fans. After winning last year's running of the local Sprint, he was sent to Keeneland where he ran third as the 7-5 favorite in the grade III Phoenix Breeders' Cup Stakes. He then rallied from far back to finish third, beaten only a length for the top spot, in the Grade I $1-million Breeders' Cup Sprint at Churchill Downs.Bet On Sunshine has an eye on another chance at the Breeders' Cup Sprint. In two starts this year, he finished second in a $55,000 allowance race at Churchill in May and won the grade III Aristides Handicap at the Louisville oval for a second consecutive year June 30.Set to face Bet On Sunshine are: Robin de Nest (Eusebio Razo Jr., 116); Boots On Sunday (Corey Lanerie, 114); Proven Cure (Randall Meier, 113); Silver Zipper (Chris Emigh, 113); Tic N Tin (Ramsey Zimmerman, 113); Chindi (Rene Douglas, 112); Smokin Pete (Alfredo Juarez Jr., 112); and Vinnie's Boy, (Shane Laviolette, 112).
