The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association announced Feb. 22 that it will conduct a New Owner Seminar March 12 at Tampa Bay Downs, in Oldsmar, Fla.
The seminar, sponsored by Blood-Horse Publications, will feature discussions on industry business issues; options for acquiring horses, including partnerships, auctions and claiming; as well as a discussion about veterinary topics. Speakers include Rich Averill, Amy Bondon, Jane Cibelli, Jessica Combs, Josh Cooper, John Hess, Steve Murty and Dr. Foster Northrop.
The seminar will begin at 8 a.m. and will include breakfast and lunch courtesy of West Point Thoroughbreds and an afternoon of racing at Tampa Bay Downs.
The registration fee for the New Owner Seminar is $75 for TOBA members and $100 for non-members and includes all support materials, admission to the track, and meals.
