Jockey Wade Injured in Hawthorne Accident

Jockey Lyndie Wade will be sidelined for four to six weeks as a result of injuries he sustained during the running of the fifth race at Hawthorne on Feb. 19.

The jockey, who was thrown to the ground when his mount, Millennium Park broke down, was treated at Loyola Medical Center where he was diagnosed with fractures to a couple of vertebrae to his neck.

Millennium Park was euthanized.
