Bialy, the first runner to carry the colors of the Fasig-Tipton Racing Club, finished second in the seventh race Feb. 14 at  Gulfstream Park in Florida. Ridden by John Velazquez and trained by Todd Pletcher, she was beaten only three-quarters of a length by Much Rejoicing in a six-furlong maiden-special-weight event that had a $35,000 purse.

Bialy, a 3-year-old Distorted Humor   filly, is one of four horses being leased for a year by Fasig-Tipton for the club, which has 26 members. A Kentucky-based Thoroughbred auction firm, Fasig-Tipton started the club in an effort to attract new owners to the Thoroughbred industry.

In the only other race of her career, Bialy also was the runner-up.
