Kentucky Educational Television will host two premiere events to promote “Thoroughbred,” Academy Award winner Paul Wagner’s documentary on the Thoroughbred horse and a history of the industry.
On Wednesday, Feb. 24 beginning at 5:30 p.m., there will be a premiere event in northern Kentucky at the Triple Crown Country Club in Union, and on Friday, Feb. 26 beginning at 6:30 p.m., there will be a premiere at the Keeneland Sale Pavilion in Lexington.
Both events include a cocktail reception and full screening of the film.
Tickets for each event, priced at $100, are available by calling (800) 866-0366. A portion of each ticket is tax deductible and proceeds benefit KET programs and services.
“Thoroughbred” premieres statewide during KET’s Telefund on March 8 at 8 p.m. EST. It is the first program funded by KET’s Endowment for Kentucky Productions.
