The first foal for grade II winner J Be K is a colt out of multiple stakes-placed Carson Jen born Feb. 4 at Tom VanMeter’s Stockplace Farm.

The colt, bred by Zayat Stables, is a half-brother to Hollywood Juvenile Championship (gr. III) winner E Z Warrior and to multiple stakes winner J Z Warrior.
J Be K (Silver Deputy—Major Wager, by Valid Wager), whose five victories from nine starts included the Woody Stephens Stakes (gr. II), stands at Vinery near Summerfield, Fla., where his 2010 fee will be $3,000 live foal.
