Daylami, a Cartier Horse of the Year and winner of the 1999 Breeders’ Cup Turf (gr. IT), has been relocated to stand at Coolagown Stud in Co. Cork, Ireland. His fee is 3,000 euros.
Sixteen-year-old Daylami (Doyoun--Daltawa, by Miswaki) began his stallion career at the Aga Khan’s Gilltown Stud in Ireland. He later stood at Riethuiskraal Stud in South Africa.
Daylami has sired 18 stakes winners, including three-time Irish champion Grey Swallow, whose biggest score came in the Budweiser Irish Derby (Ire-I). Grey Swallow also won the Jim Murray Memorial Handicap (gr. IIT). Another of Daylami’s runners, Voila Ici, earned two Italian championships in 2009.
Daylami also has made a mark as a jump sire, with such stars as champion Czech hurdler Royal Mougins to his credit.
