Jim Dandy winner Scorpion will have new jockey Mark Guidry aboard in the Travers.
Harrisand never has raced on the dirt, but his two Travers Stakes workouts have his connections thinking he at least likes it.

"He trains very well on the dirt," said Jose Cuevas, assistant to trainer Bobby Frankel. "It's a whole different story training on the dirt and running on the dirt. You don't know how they'll react getting dirt kicked up in their face."

Harrisand, a French-bred by Marchand de Sable, breezed six furlongs in 1:12 on Aug. 11, and the same distance in 1:13 2/5 on Aug. 19. He has won three of six career starts, including a victory at the Travers distance of 1 1/4 miles.

Jim Dandy Stakes winner Scorpion, another probable for Saturday's $1-million Travers for 3-year-olds at Saratoga, will be ridden by Mark Guidry, trainer D. Wayne Lukas said. Jerry Bailey, who rode Scorpion in the Jim Dandy, has the call aboard Godolphin Stable's E Dubai.

E Dubai, who won the Dwyer Stakes in his last start, is scheduled to work Wednesday morning. He galloped on the main track at Saratoga Tuesday morning.

Free of Love, nipped at 29-1 in the Jim Dandy, jogged Tuesday morning in preparation for the Travers. Dollar Bill, who worked five furlongs in 1:00 4/5 on Aug. 19, will make his first start since the Triple Crown campaign in the Travers.
