Undefeated champion Zenyatta could return to racing in the $250,000 Santa Margarita Handicap (gr. I) on March 13 at Santa Anita.

Her trainer John Shirreffs said Feb. 3 the 1 1/8-mile race is among the possibilities for the 6-year-old mare. She worked five furlongs in 1:01.60 earlier in the day on her home track at Hollywood Park.
Shirreffs said the deciding factor in whether Zenyatta runs in the San Margarita would be the weight assignments for the race.
Zenyatta was runner-up to filly Rachel Alexandra for Horse of the Year honors last month. Her retirement was announced after Zenyatta beat the boys in the Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I), but owners Jerry and Ann Moss changed their minds in mid-January and said she would compete this year.
