The fourth and final session of the Magic Millions Perth yearling sale posted a 42.7% increase in average price from a year ago Jan. 31 in Australia. With fewer horses being sold, the gross revenue declined 5.7%.

Brent Larsson purchased the Hartley’s Spirit colt from Bellbridge Park. K.L. Chong, a leading Malaysian trainer, bought the Untouchable colt from Mungrup Stud, agent.

The session’s results included a gross of Aust$836,500 ($738,596) for the 115 yearlings that sold. The average price was Aust$7,274 ($6,423). In 2009, the 174 horses that sold grossed Aust$887,050 and averaged Aust$5,098.
