A power outage shortly before live racing was set to begin on Jan. 29 has caused the cancellation of both live and simulcast racing at Oaklawn Park.

A winter ice storm with temperatures below freezing made its way through Hot Springs, Ark., on Jan. 29.

Live racing and simulcasting is expected to resume on Jan. 30. There are nine races, with first post time set for 1:30 p.m. CST. The featured eighth race will be the $50,000 King Cotton Stakes, for 4-year-olds and up at six furlongs.
