The first reported foal for grade II winner Salute the Sarge   is a filly born Jan. 16 at Rockin Z Ranch in Beggs, Oklahoma.

The filly is the first foal produced from the Vindication mare Fair Verdict, who was purchased by Clark Brewster, the filly’s breeder, at the Keeneland January sale Jan. 14, two days before she produced her foal.

The filly’s second dam, Adormical, is a half-sister to grade III winner Adcat and to the granddam of millionaire Rutherienne.

Salute the Sarge, a son of Forest Wildcat whose four victories from 12 starts included the grade II Best Pal Stakes and grade III Hollywood Juvenile Championship, stands at Walmac Farm near Lexington for a 2010 fee of $6,500 live foal.
