The first reported foal by grade II winner Elite Squadron is a colt born Jan. 26 at Calumet Farm near Lexington. Bred by Calumet, the newborn is out of the Giant's Causeway mare Lady Carpi, a half-sister to grade I winners Auntie Mame and Star de Lady Ann.
Winner of the 2008 Churchill Downs Handicap (gr. II), Elite Squadron (Officer--Sweet Mama, by High Brite) stands at the Greely brothers’ Wintergreen Stallion Station near Midway, Ky. His 2010 fee is $5,000.
