Jockey Jamie Theriot won his 2,000th race when he guided Alaina’s Aurora to victory in the thirteenth race at Fair Grounds Jan. 23.

Theriot, who won last year’s Three Chimneys Hopeful Stakes (gr. I) with Dublin and the Clark Handicap (gr. II) aboard Blame, has earned a total of $39,016,175 from his 13,316 lifetime mounts.
