The first reported foal by grade II winner Harlington is a filly born Jan. 20 at Curraghmore Farm near Waterdown, Ontario, Canada. Bred by Eugene Melnyk, the filly is out of the stakes-winning, grade I stakes-placed A.P. Indy mare Appleby Gardens, who is out of Canadian champion Larkwhistle.
Winner of the Gulfstream Park Handicap (gr. II) for Melnyk Racing Stable, Harlington (Unbridled—Serena’s Song, by Rahy) stands at John Sikura’s Hill ‘n’ Dale Farms near Lexington. His fee is $8,500, compared to $10,000 in 2009.
