The annual racing memorabilia auction to benefit the
Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation will be held Saturday, Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. on the ground floor of the clubhouse at Belmont Park. Inspection of the memorabilia, which includes artwork by Richard Stone Reeves and Anthony Alonso; a win ticket on Bill Shoemaker's last ride, autographed by Shoemaker; saddle towels and satin blankets; other Shoemaker and Laffit Pincay commemoratives; programs from races of Ruffian and Go For Wand; many posters (most autographed); trophies; and many collectable photographs, will begin at 9:30 a.m.
