Classic winner Wild Desert has been relocated to Susan Kayne’s Unbridled Stable near Greenville, N.Y., where he will stand for $3,000.

Wild Desert won Canada’s greatest classic, the Queen’s Plate Stakes, recorded a 112 Beyer Speed Figure, and placed in eight stakes, including the Suburban Handicap (gr. I) to subsequent Horse of the Year Invasor and the Clark Handicap (gr. I). During his career, he won or placed in a dozen of 20 starts and earned $1,042,674.

An 8-year-old son of Wild Rush, Wild Desert is out of the stakes-winning Desert Wine mare Desert Radiance.

Wild Desert is owned by Sanford Goldfarb, Michael Dubb, Carl Gessler Jr., and Mal Burroughs. He covered 55 mares in 2009 while standing at Joe and Anne McMahon’s McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbred near Saratoga Springs, N.Y. His fee that year was $7,500.
