The first reported foal by Eclipse Award winner Midnight Lute   is the initial offspring out of grade I winner Touch Tiz’s Sis. The newborn filly was foaled Jan. 19 at John Sikura’s Hill ‘n’ Dale Farms near Lexington, where Midnight Lute stands.

Owned by Karl Watson and Weitman Performance, Tough Tiz’s Sis (Tiznow  --Leaseholder, by Taylor’s Falls) closed out her racing career with a 12 1/4-length score in the 2008 Ruffian Handicap (gr. I). She is booked back to Midnight Lute.

Midnight Lute (Real Quiet--Candytuft, by Dehere) was voted 2007 champion sprinter after winning the TVG Breeders’ Cup Sprint (gr. I). He won the race the following year when it was sponsored by Sentient Flight Group. Midnight Lute’s 2010 fee is $20,000.
