Toccet to Dana Point in Pennsylvania

Toccet  , sire of 2009 Sovereign Award finalist Awesome Rhythm, will stand at Gayle Gerth's Dana Point Farm near Lenhartsville, Pa. The 10-year-old son of Awesome Again   will stand for $3,500.

Toccet, who formerly stood at Castleton Lyons near Lexington, ranked ninth on the 2009 second-crop sire’s list, with progeny earnings of $2.6 million. His leading runner, Awesome Rhythm, won last year’s Victoria Park, Marine, and Wando Stakes at Woodbine as a 3-year-old.

Toccet was represented by five stakes winners in 2009, including Winning Machine, who won the British Columbia Derby (Can-III) and two other stakes.

Lifetime, Toccet has sired 13 stakes horses, include United States graded stakes-placed runners Dubinsky, Gretsky, and Ventana. Toccet’s career progeny earnings are $3.1 million.

Toccet, out of the stakes-placed Cozzene mare Cozzene’s Angel, stood for $7,500 in 2009.

Dana Point also stands Action This Day, Sir Shackleton, and Wiseman's Ferry  , all of whom formerly stood at Castleton Lyons.
