Champion War Pass was represented by his first foal when a filly was born Jan. 19 at Calumet Farm near Lexington. The filly is the first foal out of the multiple stakes-winning Smoke Glacken   mare Throbbin’ Heart. Throbbin’ Heart won or placed in five stakes races and earned more than $180,000.

War Pass, the undefeated Eclipse Award-winning 2-year-old male of 2007, is a son of Cherokee Run out of the stakes-placed Mr. Prospector mare Vue. Racing for Robert LaPenta, War Pass won the Champagne Stakes (gr. I) and Bessemer Trust Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) on his way to championship honors. He stands at Mr. and Mrs. William S. Farish’s Lane’s End Farm near Versailles, Ky. His 2010 fee is $20,000.
