Dogwood Stable's graded stakes winner Gone Fishin has been retired from racing. Five-year-old Gone Fishin (Honor Grades--Exangular Lady, by Exuberant) won four of 27 races and earned $283,782.
"He has begun to show some wear and tear, and his future as a racehorse is not as bright as his stallion career would be," Dogwood president Cot Campbell said.
Bred by Zita Kay Andre, Gone Fishin won the Jaipur Handicap (gr. IIIT) at Belmont Park and ran second in two Canadian graded turf stakes. No decision has been reached as to where Gone Fishin will enter stud.
