Ghostzapper  , the 2004 Horse of the Year and champion older male, has had his 2010 fee reduced to $30,000 from the previously announced $50,000. The 10-year-old stallion stands at Frank Stronach’s Adena Springs near Paris, Ky., as does his sire, Awesome Again  .

“It’s a readjustment because of the market,” said Adena Springs representative Jack Brothers.

Ghostzapper ranked 21st on the 2009 first-crop sire’s list. His runners earned $414,621 and included stakes winner Golden Ghost.

Ghostzapper, who raced as a Stronach homebred, began his stallion career in 2006 for $200,000. He stood for $150,000 the next two years and for $125,000 in 2009.

Out of Kentucky Broodmare of the Year Baby Zip (by Relaunch), Ghostzapper is a half-brother to the sire City Zip  .
