Hawthorne to Give Away $100,000 Prize

Hawthorne Racecourse has announced a $100,000 grand prize giveaway on Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, the next to last day of the tracks current meet.

The 2009 season marked the 100th anniversary of the Cicero, Illinois track owned by the Carey family.

To the first 2,010 patrons through the gate Jan. 1, beginning at 10:30 a.m. (Central time), the track is offering a Scratch & Win coupon that could reveal the $100,000 prize. Ticket holders who do not win the cash prize will be entered into a drawing for a 2010 Jeep Patriot, according to a Hawthorne release.
