Chris Brothers will join Bluewater Sales Jan. 1 as the Kentucky-based company's bloodstock director. He will focus on the recruitment of horses for both public and private sales. He also will serve as client liaison and spearhead Bluewater’s national and international marketing efforts.
A New York native, Brothers, 25, has been serving as bloodstock/sales director for Hidden Brook for three years. During his term at Hidden Brook, he was involved in the sale of five individual million-dollar mares.
“Chris has a proven track-record in the sales arena and exceptional interpersonal skills,” said Bluewater owner Meg Levy. “For Bluewater to continue our growth, we needed a talented and personable horseman to oversee the bloodstock and marketing, so I could focus more on client development and sales management.”
Bluewater, founded in 1999, has annually ranked among the nation’s leading yearling and breeding stock consignors. At the recently concluded Keeneland November breeding stock auction, Bluewater ranked among the top 10 consignors by gross sales.
