Grade II winner Exchange Rate, who was retired from racing this summer, will enter stud at Satish and Anne Sanan's Padua Stables near Summerfield, Fla. Four-year-old Exchange Rate (Danzig--Sterling Pound, by Seeking the Gold) raced for Padua and was retired with six wins from 15 starts and earnings of $479,803.

Exchange Rate underwent surgery to repair a condylar fracture in his left front leg. He currently is stabled at Belmont Park and is expected to arrive at the farm later in the month. "He is fully recovered and there's no question about him being able to cover mares," said Padua manager Bruce Hill.

Exchange Rate's big win came in the Tom Fool Handicap (gr. II) at Belmont Park in July.
