A large winter storm sweeping across the country producing snow and high winds has caused several tracks to cancel their race cards for Dec. 9.

• Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens, N.Y., has canceled racing for Dec. 9.

• Hawthorne Race Course in Stickney, Ill. has canceled racing for Dec. 9-10 and has closed the track to training.

• Turfway Park in Northern Kentucky has canceled its Dec. 9 racing program.
