Doneraile Court and Slavic Among Group Sent to Chile

Grade II winners Doneraile Court and Slavic are among a group of four stallions that will stand the Southern Hemisphere breeding season in Chile. The deal was engineered by Diaz-Valdes Brothers and Narvick International.

Five-year-old Doneraile Court, who stood his first season at Doug Arnold's Buck Pond Farm near Versailles, Ky., will stand at Haras Sumaya. Fourteen-year-old Slavic, who held court at Blue Ridge Farm near Upperville, Va., will stand at Haras Santa Eladia. Doneraile Court (Seattle Slew--Sophisticated Girl by Stop the Music) and Slavic (Danzig--Bamesian, by Buckpasser) are serving as shuttle stallions.

The same goes for English champion miler Indian Lodge, who will stand at Haras Matancilla. Five-year-old Indian Lodge (Grand Lodge--Repetitious, by Northfields) stood the first part of 2001 at Rathbarry Stud in Ireland.

The other stallion in the foursome, French group I winner Gracioso, was purchased outright and will stand at Haras Baso Nevado. Gracioso is a 5-year-old son of Nureyev out of the Graustark mare Don't Sulk.
